Marrum - Overflowing Copper Earrings
Marrum (Wiradjuri) Overflowing.
Marrum - overflowing with ideas and experimenting different techniques. The flowing, irregular shapes reflect waterways, currents, or the movement of Country. Each pattern remains seperate from each other allowing the feel of movement.
The copper represents grounding, Country, and strength of the earth.
These earrings have a solid Australian 925 Sterling silver ear hooks and the body of the earrings are copper. Handcrafted hammered patterns with patina (blackening and darkening). They remain lightweight weighing only 7.4g aprox each
The earrings are approximately 5.5cm x 5cm from the longest parts. These are a one off piece made from experimenting with different metals and forms in my workshop in Yuwaalaraay Country.
