About

Hi, I'm Sonia!

I am the eldest of four Children, born in Wiradjuri Country, the land of the three rivers, Dubbo NSW. My Mob is from Kooma from South West Queensland near the Cunnamulla area.

I have made jewellery since early childhood with a flair for the unusual, however life gets in the way of your passions. Over the years I have been working in construction, being fortunate enough to complete a Carpentry Apprenticeship.

Since this time i have been able to put down my Carpentry tools and pick up my Jeweller’s tools. I love to work in sterling silver and semi-precious stones which add colour and dimension to my pieces. I am proud to have created a collection of jewellery bringing my Ancestor's storytelling symbols into a modern light with non-traditional wearable art. Most of this collection is named in Wiradjuri Language, helping everyone understand and appreciate our Culture.

I would like to acknowledge the Traditional owners past and present of all the lands I have been privileged to travel through and live in throughout my life, they have influenced and shaped my life and art.

I hope you enjoy my pieces!
