Barrandhang-Koala Aboriginal Artist Opal Doublet Pendant Sterling Silver

This Barrandhang which is Wiradjuri for Koala pendant/pin is solid sterling silver handcrafted with a Yuwaalaraay Country Lightning Ridge Opal doublet.

The blue opal flashes green and the video has the closest to accurate colouring.  This pendant has been handcrafted using a technique called repousse using small mandrels and hammering the patterns.  This item has a lapel pin style back for securing to clothes.

All the jewellery in this website has been handcrafted by Sonia Pallett an Aboriginal Jewellery Artist who lives and creates in Yuwaalaraay Country, her Mob is Kooma in Queensland and grew up in Wiradjuri Country.

Barrandhang is approximately 4.5 cm from longest point by 3.5cm at widest point and is set with an Opal doublet which is approximately 8x4mm.
