Ngulburnan, yuriyawi “Waterhole” Earrings Black Yellow Red Agate

These earrings are handcrafted as is all the jewellery in this shop from an Aboriginal Jewellery Artist. The use of symbols is part of the story telling from our culture and I use this as part of my design in my Jewellery. Ngulburnan, yuriyawi means Waterhole in Wiradjuri Language which is where I grew up in Dubbo NSW.

The earrings are sterling silver with Black Yellow Red Agate and is aprox 50mm from the drop part of the hook.

The black yellow and red represent the Aboriginal Flag black for the colour of our skin, yellow for the sun and red for the blood spilt. Some also say res for the colour of the ground.
